Early 20th Century: Automotive Beginnings
Constructed in 1913, the building was initially known as the Opera Garage. In the 1930s, a third level was added, and the facility became home to Tate Cadillac, a prominent car dealership for many years. Following Tate Cadillac's departure, various automotive businesses occupied the space until the 1940s, when it became part of the Progress Bulletin newspaper complex.
Modern Era: Entertainment Venue
In 2011, the building underwent a significant transformation, reopening as 340 Restaurant & Nightclub. Since then, it has established itself as a central hub for LGBTQ+ nightlife in the Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley regions, hosting events featuring prominent drag performers and themed nights.
